The democrats (and others who care) should stand up for our democracy and filibuster! You can use this link to write your choice of a local or national newspaper! http://www.moveon.org/lte/lte_t.html?zip=27410<e_campaign_id=44 This Unitary Executive idea is just un-American.
Alito's extreme views on presidential authority indicate that he will 100% back the Bush regime's power to detain American citizens without trial, torture at will, and spy on private conversations. Also, I am pro-choice, and let's face it, that along with many other rights, will become history under the Bush regime, with Alito on the Supreme Court. Alito will 100% stand UP for the Bush regime, for corruption, and against our rights and our democracy.
